10th annual Canadian Oncology Winter Conference 2010, Delta Sun Peaks
These educational sessions are intended for all healthcare professionals from academic cancer agencies, community oncologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, hematologists, internal medicine residents, fellows, general practitioners in oncology, oncology nurses and pharmacists, and other health care providers who focus in providing patient care for GI, lung, breast cancers and lymphoma.
It will be a combination of didactic presentations followed by case study workshops.
Educational Objectives:
After successfully completing this continuing medical educational program, participants should be able to:
Have a better understanding of how to treat patients with biological agents, and chemotherapy through case study workshop interaction.
Understand the emerging role of biological agents, especially monoclonal antibodies, as treatment options for lymphoma, gastrointestinal, lung and breast cancers.
Learn current and future treatment options of combining biologic agents with chemotherapy as a more targeted approach for optimizing patient care.
