Identifiers
Identifiers are key value pairs associated to participants. Each identifier type can be configured as confidential by the integration team. They can be either be inputed or generated by the system. Some identifiers can be added only one per participant.
- Examples
- Hospital number
- Health insurance number
- Biobank number
Generated identifiers recycling
The recycling is done automatically by the system and suggested to you upon creation. Let's go with an example.
If an identifier is mistakenly added to a participant, after you delete it, the system will keep it in a "ready to be reused" state. Afterward, if you try to add the same identifier type, the system pops a question and asks whether you would like to reuse one of the "ready to be reused" identifiers (that is the one you juste deleted) or create a new one.
If you deleted an identifier and want to make sure it cannot be reused, you need to do the following steps.
- Go to "Tools".
- To to "Administration".
- In the tabbed menu, select "Manage reusable identifiers".
- Select the category where the identifier you need to remove is.
- Check the identifier you need to permanently remove.
- Submit.
