Introduction

In ATiM, participant products are grouped under collections.

This guide will describe the 2 processes to define participant collection.
  1. Create participant then create collection from 'Clinical Annotation' module.
  2. Create collection first then link collection to a participant.

Create participant products within a new collection (Collection creation from participant)

1. Reach your participant within the 'Clinical Annotation' module.

2. Under the first tab menu, click on 'Inventory' (or on 'Participant Collection' for versions below 2.1).

3. Click the 'Add' button.

4. In the 'Collections' section, select 'New Collection'.

5. You can optionally select a consent and a diagnosis to link to the new collection.

6. Hit submit.

7. You are now in the 'Inventory' module. The collection you are invited to create will be linked to your participant. Fill the form and hit 'Submit'.

8. The collection has been created. You are now free to create specimens, derivatives and aliquots. All of those will be grouped under the newly created collection, which is linked to your participant.

Link an existing collection to a participant

1. Reach your participant within the 'Clinical Annotation' module.

2. Under the first tab menu, click on 'Inventory'. (or on 'Participant Collection' for versions below 2.1)

3. Click the 'Add' button.

4. In the 'Collections' section, click the collection you want to link to your participant.

Note: If instead of collections a message like The query returned too many results is displayed, it means there is too many unlinked collections to display. You have to hit the search button to find the collection you are looking for.

5. You can optionally select a consent and a diagnosis to link to the new collection.

6. Hit submit.

7. The collection you have selected is now linked to your participant.

View the collections of a participant

1. Reach your participant within the Clinical annotation module.

2. Under the first tab menu, click on 'Inventory'. (or on 'Participant Collection' for versions below 2.1)

3. The collections that are linked to your participant are listed.

4. Clicking on 'Summary' sub-menu, all participant products will be displayed into a tree view.
