The Canadian Tumour Repository Network strives to establish the policies and procedures required to ensure that:
- The highest ethical and privacy standards are maintained by all persons collecting and handling donated material and donor information
- The donated material is obtained and stored in a manner to preserve tissue quality
- Researchers have fair and equitable access to materials
- The research conducted using materials obtained through CTRNet contributes to improving cancer outcomes in Canada and beyond
