Canadian Tumour Repository Network

The Canadian Tumour Repository Network (CTRNet) is a research consortium, funded by the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), that furthers Canadian health research by linking cancer researchers with provincial tumour banks.

The vision of CTRNet is to create new opportunities for translational cancer research that will improve cancer outcomes in Canada and beyond. Through the creation and maintenance of an online pan-Canadian network, researchers will gain unprecedented access to a new and comprehensive source of tissue and clinical data.

CTRNet consistently earns each donor’s trust by implementing and enforcing strict privacy guidelines as well as ethical and standard operating procedures designed to support meaningful research. This research is promoted through a virtual community, online search capabilities, workshops and conferences.

The network is a sustainable resource and operates according to the highest scientific and ethical standards for research to benefit all Canadians.
