The Biobank Resource Centre (BRC) delivers tools and services for all types of researchers and biobankers. It is a not-for-profit academic organization with a coordinating center in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It was founded and developed in partnership by the University of British Columbia Office of Biobank Education and Research (OBER) and the Canadian Tumour Repository Network (CTRNet).

The Biobank Resource Centre goals are:

  • To provide services and tools that support researchers in establishing and operating biobanks;
  • To educate and promote certification of biobanks in order to enhance quality through adoption of best practice standards.
